Paul Burik, Ph.D.Short Biography

Paul Burik has a global consulting practice based in Germany.  His advice draws upon 30+ years of worldwide experience gained in asset management (Commerzbank), pension fund consulting (Ennis, Knupp, now part of Hewitt), derivatives (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) and regulatory policymaking (Federal Reserve Board).  He has held senior general management and investment roles including co-CEO, head of business development and strategy and chief investment officer.  He has served as both an executive and non-executive board member.  In these roles he built and revitalized businesses and engineered successful transactions in Europe, the U.S. and Asia.   

Paul also serves a Professor of Practice at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance.  He has a Ph.D. in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and has won the CFA Institute’s Graham & Dodd Award.
